Fall 11: Chloe, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dries Van Noten, Dries Van Noten, Roland Mouret
While wide leg pants showed up at all major runways for Fall 11, in Paris they were really one of the key notes. From leather to printed or menswear inspired, designers here prove that there’s no wrong way to do the wide leg pant or trouser. And while the wide leg isn’t all that new (Spring 11 collections come to mind), here’s my gut feeling is this. We’re still coming out of the world of skinny so we need to ease into this trend. Flared pants are a great place to start (and on a personal note I can’t wait wear them for Spring) and gradually ease into wide leg styles. Here’s more for Fall 11, from Milan.
