Another S11 ad campaign WOW. There is something so perfect about this Alexander McQueen ad. The flock of butterflies not only gives a 3D effect to the dress, but I think they also serve a sort of symbolic purpose. Maybe it’s that we’re coming up upon one year since the visionary designer took his own life, but the contrast of the dark background and the butterflies flying upward seems to shed an optimistic light under Sarah Burton’s direction. Oh yea, not to mention that the ad features model Lindsey Wixson, who we’ll be seeing more of very soon.
