At Fashion Snoops we’re exposed to virtually every cool American Apparel item out there from our fabulous accessories editor who wears between 1 and 5 AA items a day. She first told me about their Bag-O-Scraps a while ago; essentially a bag of scrap material that they sell instead of throw away (great for the DIY crowd). Anyway, the scraps are part of AA’s Creative Reuse initiative which designs other actual styles out of left-over material.

Many of the items are accessories like hair ties, belts or bow ties, but I came across a nice amount of intimate apparel too. The styles are simple, like the bandeau or triangle bra, but with the right print, and the current inner-as outer trend, more brands ought to incorporate something similar.
